The EBF Executive Committee met on 6th October. The main items were progress on rule making initiatives with EASA, especially to prepare for the main face to face EASA meeting in November. Our work on Part 66L balloon engineers’ recency is nearly complete and a good outcome is expected soon from EASA, based on provisional information received. EBF is deeply engaged with EASA in preparing the work list for an update of Part BFCL (licensing) and Part BOP (operations) and this work is progressing with monthly meetings. There are also more meetings scheduled with organisations and experts from several member countries of EBF. The Executive Committee also confirmed all is in good shape with EBF finances.
