EBF participation at EASA’s General Aviation Meeting

Paul Spellward and Martijn Hoogeslag attended EASA’s main annual General Aviation (“GA TeB & CSTG”) meeting in Cologne, 10-11 November. This meeting is coordinated by GA programme manager, Vladimir Foltin, pictured here with Paul and Martijn. Vladimir (“Vlado”) has been a great help in supporting the needs of ballooning (and sailplanes etc) at EASA. EBFs work alongside EGU (European Gliding Union) with EASA on Part 66 L engineer recency requirements has come to a good conclusion and will move to Rule Making and public consultation soon. Paul Spellward gave the presentation on this topic (pictured delivering his powerpoint) to the GA meeting and it was well-received as an example of collaborative work between the user community and EASA.

There is a major opportunity for us all to influence EASA regulation through the EASA Regulation Simplificaton Programme – please see EASA Rule Simplification Programme – Making regulation smarter for a safer Future | EASA

EBF will publish its priorities for this survey and hopes you will support also via your own submissions.

Paul Spellward, President
